Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes


3 lbs potatoes, peeled & cut
2 cloves garlic
6 tbsp butter
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

In pot, cover potatoes & garlic with water. Boil until tender, 20-25 minutes; drain. In same pot over medium heat, heat butter. Remove from heat. Add potatoes & garlic; mash. Stir in buttermilk, salt, & pepper.
